Divinity Among Us

Get to know the hidden stories of Hinduism

About me

Welcome to a journey into the heart of hidden Hinduism, a venture beyond the veil of the known into the realms of divine tales seldom told. My name is Ari, and I have dedicated the last three years to uncovering stories that light the path less trodden in the vast expanse of Hindu mythology. These narratives, rich with ancient wisdom, have been whispered from generation to generation, finding a voice in the silent corners of remote villages.

In my quest, I traversed lands where modernity's touch is light, seeking out Hindu Pandits—guardians of tradition and knowledge. These priests, keepers of the past, shared with me tales not found in written texts but passed down orally, each story a thread in the intricate tapestry of Hindu spirituality. It is from this journey that I bring to you five extraordinary tales, each unveiling the lives of celestial beings sent to Earth, not unlike the concept of angels in other traditions.

In Hinduism, these divine children, known as 'Devtas'—beings of light and virtue, are sent by the gods for purposes both profound and mysterious. Yet, their path is not one of ease. To manifest their divine potential fully, they must navigate a labyrinth of challenges, each obstacle a crucible for their spirit. It is often thought that these Devtas are sent down to Earth over and over again, each incarnation a new chapter in their eternal journey to weave the divine essence into the fabric of the mundane.

Through this website, I aim to share these hidden gems of Hinduism, hoping to illuminate the richness of a tradition that sees divinity in diversity and the extraordinary in the everyday. Join me in exploring these narratives, where each tale is a bridge between the celestial and the terrestrial, between the essence of divinity and the human experience. I hope to revisit the wonderful India, as there are far more of these hidden stories to discover.
